Temecula Hyundai a Hyundai Hope On Wheels participant, dedicated to helping kids fight cancer, announced a $1 million grant to Children’s Oncology Group institutions. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center and the University of Florida. Each will receive $250,000 per year over the course of four years to fund their research on pediatric cancers with the lowest survival rates.
With 80 percent of cancers being cured today, the leading cause of death by disease is still children. The winning grants will help advance new immunotherapies and therapeutic strategies for the most high risk cancers, including Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Medulloblastoma tumors.
Hyundai Hope On Wheels is committed to finding a cure for childhood cancer. Launched in 1998, Hyundai Hope On Wheels provides grants to eligible institutions nationwide that are pursuing life-saving research and innovative treatments for the disease. Primary funding for Hyundai Hope On Wheels comes from Hyundai Motor America and dealers like Temecula Hyundai.
